The P723X Inclusion Program@ Metropolitan High School
The P723X Inclusion Program hosted at Metropolitan High School is housed in a dedicated State-of-the-Art classroom with the most up-to-date computer equipment, software applications and Promethean Board. The program currently has 12 students clustered in grades 9 to 11. Each group receives subject support in all classes except lunch by an academic paraprofessional. SETSS is supplemental instruction specifically designed to address individualized learning needs via classroom Push-in and separate location Pull-out format to provide students with optimal learning experiences. The classroom Push-in uses the goals to bridge the gap between prior knowledge and the curriculum. The separate Pull-out format enables students to work in a secure and comfortable location at their pace on a variety of material (classwork, homework, tests, Regents preparation) at their pace. The SETSS provider frequently consults with the general education teachers to discuss and ensure Individualized Education Program goals and mandates are being meet in the classrooms.
Metropolitan High School is small learning community serving grades 9 to 12 with the goal of preparing citizens for the future. The school has a discipline code, school uniform polity and community partnership with Phipps.
